RazoRock – Caprician Lemon

RazoRock - Caprician Lemon

RazoRock’s Caprician Lemon isn’t some lame sickly sweet lemonade scent. It’s a wonderfully tart actual lemon aroma. It’s nice and strong when first lathered up and applied to the face, although it does fade a fair amount during the shave. Not completely by any stretch mind you, it’s still noticeable, but not strongly.

The lather was, frankly, spectacular. With just a tiny bit of water, it very easily whipped into a quite thick lather which provided more than enough lubrication as well. And it left the face feeling nice and refreshed / moisturized. All in all, one of the best shaves I’ve had.

  • 9/10 Scent Pleasantness
  • 8/10 Scent Strength
  • 10/10 Lather Quality

A tub of the Caprician Lemon is available for $10.99, for what is labelled as 125 mL… although frankly, I don’t think that makes much sense to me. I mean, the tub contains a square block of soap that’s obviously been cut off of a larger block. It seems to me that measurement by weight would make more sense in this instance than a measurement by volume. Oh well.

Anyways, I’m giving it a 9/10. It’s a very very good shave, smells nice, and is rather affordable. Definitely a damned good bang-for-your-buck.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Tallow, Water, Cocos Nucifera, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance (Lemon), Potassium Carbonate

Must get round to trying some of the gear from the very reputable Razorock and I don’t currently have a ‘lemon’ scented cream/soap for use on my discerning customers!
Good, clear and concise review. Thanks!

I love reading such reviews, the full list of product ingredients would do it even more enjoyable. Please keep it up. Thanks.

Tried it, but had a burning sensation when I shaved. Shame because it was a nice thick lather. Ended up giving to a friend and luckily was able to purchase a couple other RazoRock products that didn’t cause any irritation.

That would be the vintage bakelite slant of which Italian Barber had obtained a case of new old stock… unfortunately, they sold out just after the new year.

I’d suggest watching reddit.com/r/shave_bazaar, or Badger and Blade’s “Shave Mall” section.

But yeah, highly recommended if you’re able to find one. I greatly prefer it to the 37C.
