___________________________________________________________________________

The Fall Seasonal Special Hall Of Fame! Best over the Years

Back for its forth year !  The Fall Seasonal Hall of Fame! These items are no longer in production and have been either retired or the company is no longer in business, or just plain cool.

We start our special with items that have come and gone and proved to be very popular amongst wet shavers.

____________________________________________________________________________

The Holy Black

Ahab’s Sea Chest Halloween Set (2025):

Shave set limited to only 15 pieces.

Based on  a project 10 years in the making. All parts of this set has been made by hand in the shop by The Holy Black And contains the following:

-Shave Soap

-38 mm Badger/Boar Brush  molded from real Whale’s Tooth

-Harppon stand, casted by hand

-Aftershave.

Tell-Tale Heart Series Soap/AS/EDP:

Dragonsblood imparts a familiar powdery incense note and dominates the initial exposure to the scent. Oud(agar/aloeswood) brings a dark, almost dank feeling to the overall fragrance here as subtler notes of teak, cedar and sandalwood balance out the wood accord. Almost strangely floral, this fragrance cannot be truly appreciated until it has a chance to interact with your body chemistry.

Jeckyll and Hyde Box Set:

Jeckyll and Hyde, when mixed in your own preferred ratios, allows you to  create a complex fragrance customizable to your own body chemistry that embodies the light and dark side of these similar profiles.  This set includes two 8.5oz aftershave splashes, two 50ml Eau De Toilette fragrances, and one Shaving soap with both Jeckyll and Hyde that can be used together, or separately. We also have a couple of other surprises in store for you that we think will be worth the wait.

Black Magic Talking Board Set

The newest fragrance in our line up, and perfect for the Autumn season, Black Magic is a Tobacco forward fragrance with notes of Fresh Tobacco, Tobacco Absolute, Tonka Absolute, Madagascar Vanilla, Bourbon, Oak, Cacao, Espresso, Dried Fruit and Spices.

Vampire Hunter Set :

Just when you thought there were no more surprises in store for 2020- Vampires! The undead walk the earth and you must do your duty to keep them at bay. With the return of Vampires looming, we bring you this 20 piece Vampire Hunting Kit.  Painstakingly made here at the Holy Black for all your Vampire killing needs, there are only a few available, and somehow, these look even better in person. These come complete with dust and cobwebs and are right at home amongst antiques in an old Victorian mansion. We are super proud of this one and it’s been an idea that we never had the means to pull off in a way that would do it justice.

Seven Deadly Sins 2022:

Thought to have been made in late 1500s Italy and found under the ruins of a burned out church, this seven day box set of shaving soaps is rumored to have mystical properties. The original paper label on the lid is charred but still legible and when you slide it back and remove the shredded aspen wood substrate you will find an 8oz wax sealed glass bottle and 7 ceramic dishes, still safe inside in their original paper wrappers, miraculously untouched by flame.  The Aftershave and Shaving Soaps have survived wonderfully. If you are able to obtain this set, be cautious, there have been strange happenings here.

The Alchemist Set 2023:

With the Alchemist box set, you’re not just crafting a fragrance; you’re weaving stories, emotions, and a dash of ancient magic into every drop. Whether you’re a fragrance aficionado, a lover of tales, or someone seeking a unique olfactory journey, this collection promises an experience that’s as enchanting as the legend of Alastair himself.

Memento Mori-

Remember, you must die. This box set creates an environment that ensures you stay in that Memento Mori mindset. All of your senses are there to remind you to live in the now. Your most powerful sense, your sense of smell, is the main focus here, a 30ml bottle of a powerful fragrance is within the earthenware vessel. Inhale fresh earth, the cypress trees in the cemetery in the crisp air of October, almost taste the ripe fruit, smell the imperial roses, corps iris, and even the lingering scent of fresh cement to remind you that your life on earth is fleeting. Far from macabre, Memento Mori is the celebration of life, a reminder to live every day to its fullest.

DR Jon’s

Blood Oath Soap/AS & More:

For those not familiar with Blood Oath, the fear of bad omens once would circulate and sweep through the superstitious bellies of ancient towns when unexplained moments of failed crop harvests or even morning milk soured by noon. These omens were not to be taken lightly. (Closed in 2022)

Barrister and Mann

Lyssa: Soap/AS and Vampire Kit:

Barrister and Mann is proud to announce our collaboration with local research laboratories to bring you the world’s first fully functional zombie repellant. After careful study and experimentation upon captured zombies from a local reanimation (known in the annals of history as “The Templeton Cemetery Incident”), these labs have developed an aroma-based agent to keep the undead at bay. Christened “Lyssa” by its creators, and conveniently packaged in a shaving soap, aftershave, and eau de parfum, this special blend will keep you safe from even the most relentless walkers.

Hallows: Soap/AS/EDP & More:

Scent Profile: Taking inspiration from the swamps of Boston, we combined vetiver, oakmoss, black pepper, cocoa, labdanum, and cedar to produce a deep, cold scent suited to the chilly, bitter days of late October. (One of the top scents of all time)

Season of the Witch Soap/AS & More

Beneath this enrapturing accord, ripples of power lurk. The green dustiness of tarragon, the spicy tang of nutmeg and wormwood, and elemental, primordial notes of oakmoss, oud, and woodsmoke bubble from the depths, bathing the flowers in their eldritch glow. Mossy and primeval, floral and herbal, the product of centuries of tradition and craft, Season of the Witch is the potion of a modern age, composed to enthrall and enchant. Something wicked this way comes.

Let’s Get on With The Show 2026!

____________________________________________________________________________

The Holy Black

Ahab’s Sea Chest Halloween Set:

Two fragrances, two sides of the same day

Día de Muertos holds two things at once. Remembering the dead and getting on with living. So we made two scents and named them plainly.

La Muerte

In the shaving soap and the black-bottle aftershave.

Mexican chocolate is the whole idea. Dark, a little bitter, and warm the way a cup whipped with a molinillo is warm. Cinnamon and raw sugar on top. Roasted cacao and toasted almond underneath, with a thread of ancho chile you feel more than smell. Vanilla bean and smoked wood hold it down.

Top: cinnamon, piloncillo sugar
Heart: Mexican chocolate, roasted cacao, toasted almond, ancho chile
Base: vanilla bean, tonka, smoked wood

Reads like the kitchen after the pan de muerto comes out of the oven. Sweet, spiced, and heavy enough to sit with.

La Vida

In the white-bottle aftershave and the cone incense.

Cempasúchil forward. Marigold the way it hits you in a market at the end of October, green and peppery and bright. Lime peel and orange blossom keep it moving. Rose and tuberose fill in the middle with a little honey. Copal resin and soft woods underneath, so there’s smoke in it even before you light anything.

Top: marigold, lime peel, orange blossom
Heart: rose, tuberose, honey
Base: copal resin, vanilla, soft woods

Reads like flowers on the table, smoke from the next room, and somebody on their way over.

Together

The bottles are mirror images. White with a black wax seal. Black with a white wax seal. Each one carrying a little of the other.

Wear one. Wear the other. Layer them. They were built to sit next to each other on the shelf and on your skin.

What’s in the box

Seventeen pieces. Here’s every one and why it’s there.

  1. The box. Wood, with opening doors and a fold-down bottom shelf. Skeleton doors, sugar skull crest, marigolds in the corners. It’s the display, the packaging, and the thing you keep.
  2. Woven mat. A nod to the petate. Goes under everything else. Lay it down first.
  3. Photograph frame. Hangs on the screw inside the box. Rear-loading slot for a 1.5″ × 2.625″ print. Wallet size. The most important picture in the box is the one we couldn’t design.
  4. Black-glazed clay cantarito. 3 oz. For a cup of fresh water in the display. The oldest welcome there is.
  5. Copper coin. One ounce, with a Día de Muertos motif. Every box gets one coin. There are four designs, and which one lands in yours is up to chance.
  6. Sugar skull shaving brush. A calavera at the sink. Built to be used every morning, not looked at.
  7. Shaving soap. 100 g in a ceramic dish. La Muerte fragrance.
  8. La Vida aftershave. 4 oz. White bottle, black wax seal.
  9. La Muerte aftershave. 4 oz. Black bottle, white wax seal. Matches the soap.
  10. Copal resin. In a storage tin. Burned in Mexico long before any of this.
  11. La Vida cone incense. Same fragrance as the aftershave, so what you wear and what fills the room match.
  12. Clay incense disc. 2 inches. Where the cones burn. Cones only.
  13. Miniature papel picado. Cut paper sized for the box. A little movement above a still photograph.
  14. Box of matches. No digging through the kitchen drawer when you finally sit down to do this.
  15. Dried marigolds. Cempasúchil. The flower that runs through the whole collection.
  16. Seven-day candle. A warm point of light while you spend time with it.
  17. Lotería cards and boards. Our addition. The only piece in here meant for the people who are still around.

And then there’s the base: Incense, Tobacco, Vanilla, with a lingering edge of Vetiver and Patchouli. These are the smells of forgotten places. Adopted Acres Soap Company

Halloween 86 Soap & AS:

It’s dark, but the neighborhood is alive. Porch lights glow up and down the street. Jack-o’-lanterns flicker on front steps, and you can smell freshly carved pumpkin hanging in the cool October air.

You’re wearing one of those costumes we all remember. Maybe it’s the plastic outfit and hard mask with the little elastic string digging into the back of your head. Maybe Mom covered your face in makeup so you could be a pirate, a monster, or a werewolf. Maybe somebody emptied half a can of hairspray getting ready.

Probably all of the above.

You hit the sidewalk with your friends, carrying a plastic pumpkin full of candy. Fallen leaves crunch under your shoes. There’s the smell of grass and hay somewhere in the background. The night air is cool and clean.

Then a car rolls slowly down the street.

For just a moment, that unmistakable hint of gasoline mixes with everything else—the pumpkins, grass, makeup, hairspray, fallen leaves and cold night air.

 And somehow, that was Halloween.

Scent Profile: Burnt Pumpkin Top • Fall Grass • Makeup • Hair Spray • Night Air • Gasoline

Happy Chap Shaving

Ghost Stories Soap and AS:

Experience the fear dripping from the dilapidated pages of a spine-chilling ghost story. It opens with ripe Plum and Saturn Peach, giving off a muted fruitiness that fades into the shadows of Black Violet and worn Italian Leather. Beneath it all, Patchouli, Vanilla, and Dusty Musk settle in like aged books and creaking floorboards. Do your haunting face a favor and shave with Happy Chap.

____________________________________________________________________________

The Shave Mercantile

Pretty Polly Soap & AS:

There are many versions of her song. In some, she’s the victim. In others… she’s the one who swings the blade. Polly’s melody drifts down from the Appalachian hills. A murder ballad carried on cold wind and memory through the centuries. Some have differing opinions on how this story ends, but the earth and grave know the truth.

The scent is steeped in an uneasy beauty: freshly dug grave soil, moss, and cedarwood tangled with dark plum, blood orange, jasmine, and amber. It’s rich, unsettling, and strangely inviting, like a hymn sung in an empty church.

An Appalachian Gothic fragrance, Polly is Earthy. Haunting. Full of quiet mystery, folklore, and fog. For those who appreciate craftsmanship, story, a bit of the macabre, and the kind of scent that leaves an echo, this one’s worth the lather.

You’re listening to Wet Shaving Talk, powered by Sharpologist.com, where we’re dedicated to preserving the art and skill of classic shaving. I’m your host, Joe Berrelli, and today is October 28th, 2026. all right everybody welcome back to the podcast on the 11th annual fall seasonal special yes that’s right guys this is it it’s finally here the most anticipated show of the year and also the most fun i think this is the show where we talk about all of the fall products that are out there by all the vendors and artisans alike i could tell you right now guys this was a very fun year there’s a lot of good stuff out there We are going to discuss some new stuff, and we’re going to also talk about some

of the Hall of Fame items to start off with. You know, just talking about, I would say, stuff that’s been around. It’s been a long time since I’ve been doing this, and there have been a lot of different collaborations over the years. I always like to just bring back a couple of the better ones, just because it gives us that sense of nostalgia, I guess, in wet shaving, or modern nostalgia, so we can actually, you know, remember this stuff.

And then kind of like revisit it if we have it in our collections or anything like that if we forget. But yeah, this was a fun show this year, guys. I’m not going to lie. I have over 50 pages of notes, so there’s a lot.

So I’m not going to spend too much time on the intro here, but we’re going to get into it. But I hope you really enjoy it, the wet shaving talk, annual fall seasonal special. And here we go. So back for its fourth year, it’s the Fall Seasonal Hall of Fame.

That’s right, these items, they’re either no longer in production or are still there and have made a huge impact in the wet shaving world in terms of fall Halloween scents and or also setups as well. So I wanted to start off with the Holy Black. Now the Holy Black is a vendor that’s been doing massive, I guess you could say massive, releases every year. They do very anticipated releases.

They do big stories around it. Usually they do a commercial around it. Sometimes they do a lot of, you know, they show you how they make the items and stuff, a lot of social media. And there’s quite a few items that they came out with.

So we’ll start off with them. So last year they came out with Ahab’s Sea Chest, the Halloween set. This set had a shaving soap, This had a badger brush, a harpoon stand, and it was really based on ancient, kind of like when they were going whale hunting and stuff like that. It was 100% made by hand by Holy Black, which was very anticipated online.

You could see them when they were making the process in a wooden box. And it also came with an aftershave. And this presentation was really cool. They only did 15 pieces of this last year, so not many people got it.

But it was a project that was based off 10 years of research and development. The next one was one of my favorite ones. This is like the first release that came out with several, about almost 10 years. Well, it’s about 10 years now, if not a little bit longer.

Telltale Heart, the whole series soap, it came out with aftershave and EDP. This was based on Dragon’s Blood scent, which had like a little bit of a powdery incense, and had a little, also more of a, like an oud, it brought like a dark scent to it as well. And this set was made with a nice shave soap, came with also a wooden box and like a heart-shaped container for the aftershave too. This is really cool.

And this is their first release that I can remember, Modern Times, that they came out with that was also what got them on the map of these fall releases. The next one was my personal favorite from what they made, the Jekyll and Hyde set. This was based on Dr. Jekyll and Hyde and also it was a way you can mix your own aftershaves, make your own scent. So what it came with was it came with two aftershaves that you can blend and also use the shave soap, had two-sided shave soap you can try to shave with.

With that and you can make your own scent out of both of them and kind of customize it I came with it was in the lit box nice wooden box. It looked really cool And this is probably I think the most one of the most popular ones that came out with I know they were selling online for a long time afterwards I never got a chance to get one because they were only limited to about I think about a hundred sets But this is one of them This is definitely an awesome one that if you did not get a chance to get this back in the day definitely take a look online See some pictures because it’s really cool Then we have the Blackmagic Talking Board Set.

This was a shave soap set up with, it also came in with an aftershave and such. It came with like a Ouija board as well. It was just kind of like a nice box. It kind of looked like a coffin set up.

Really cool, nice set up. Also, it was kind of like a Madagascar Vanilla Bourbon Oak Cocoa Espresso essence to it as well so it was really one of their more autumn scents but more of it was kind of set up to be like like black magic and it looked like a coffin like a lined coffin with velvet and stuff it’s pretty cool The Vampire Hunter Set, this came out next. This was a really, really big one.

They actually put fake spider webs on it. It was in a big wooden chest that you can kind of walk around with and use afterwards if you wanted to, although it would probably be hard to do so. This was based on, it had a 20-piece vampire hunting kit. which had, not only did it have a shave soap and aftershave, but it had like garlic in it, it had other stuff in there too, and it was just really cool setup that they came up with for that year.

And I thought it was one of the most detailed sets they did, probably the most detailed that they ever done on anything. So I think that would be the amongst, maybe one of the most detailed sets of any Halloween or fall collaboration for a shave set to date. Next one will be 7 Deadly Sins, that was made in 2022. This is the one I actually purchased, this set, I got this.

This came with 7 different shave soaps and a big aftershave, so you can kind of use different scents. And you can still, you can kind of customize it. Also came in a lined box, wooden box. Really, it’s, I guess you could say it’s like a 7 day shave soap.

You can use one soap per day. with your aftershave. Really, I would say, probably one of the most shave soap you can get out of it. There’s a lot of soap, even though the soaps are a little bit smaller, but still a ton.

And they all have, in ceramic dishes, is in holy black form. So I thought it was really cool, different shave sets. And you can use them, and they’re really all, every single one of the scents are cool. The Alchemist set was in 2023.

This set, you were actually kind of creating your own fragrance. Again, this has had a kit in there so you can kind of make your own stuff. Very cool. I thought it was very, very inventive as well.

and Memento Mori, which is a set that was kind of telling you what their, I guess you could say their motto that year was, remember you must die. And it came with a bunch, it was kind of like a, more of a, like a funeral home scent, came with like very powdery fragrances and stuff, and it also smelled like dirt. So it was more based along the lines of a cemetery. So moving on to the next vendor, this is a vendor that’s no longer producing anything, items.

Dr. John’s, The Blood Oath, I thought this was a really good collaboration. I thought Dr. John’s for a while there was making some really good stuff. The Blood Oath was a soap and an aftershave. And if you’re not familiar with one of these guys, this was more along the lines of it had like a, actually like a dark wood, Like very, very, I guess, smoldered wood and dirt kind of scent.

Came with a lot of nice box, good presentation, but it was always out there for several years and they closed down in 2022, but it was at least an eight-year collaboration. So, Dr. Johns, we salute you and we salute Blood Oath. Next one is a little sad to be talking about is Barrister Man. You know, Barrister Man was probably one of the top three with, I guess you could say, with Halloween releases.

And they’ve done it every year since I’ve been, pretty much since I’ve been wet shaving. And this is the first year they didn’t do anything, mainly because of the company’s going through a revamp. So we’ll talk about all their releases here. So the first one they came out with, well not the first one, I’m sorry.

One of the ones we’ll talk about first is Lissa. This was a soap aftershave and like a vampire kit again. This came with a bunch of stuff in a box for a vampire kit, I remember coming out. And it had a scent of like, I actually have this one, it’s very, very powdery flower.

Slash like garlicky sent to it, so I thought it was really cool. It’s kind of it’s kind of was made to be Like a vampire slash zombie repellent, and I thought it was really on one of the cool Collaborations they came out with it also came with a bunch of stuff, too And as always whenever you used to buy Barrister man Halloween releases they used to send you some candy in the box, too I thought that was really nice Probably one of the most, I guess you could say, popular and one of my personal favorites is Hallows from Barrister Man. This is one of the ones that we miss, I miss tremendously.

I told you guys last week on the show, this is a scent that you can actually get from, you kind of feel, when you’re there, it’s like, you actually feel like, this is like a haunted house scent. When I went to Halloween Horror Nights, everything smelled like Hallows. So it’s very damp, dark, very oak mossy like it smells like dirt and then has like a little smoke essence to it as well. Probably one of the top scents of all time for in terms of wet shaving so I’d say we definitely got a salute by our Starman.

Season of the Witch was one of their last releases that they came out. This is more of a, I guess, again, kind of like the, kind of like Hollows, very mossy, very dirty, but also had like floral essence to it, had a lot of flower essence to it. And it was all, it was kind of for a more modern age, which other than, I guess you could say your 1600s, which now remember, A lot of this stuff is based on Boston sense and stuff like that. That’s where Barrister Man was at.

They were up north for a long time, New York. And I guess he went around and he got the sense of local areas and tried to recreate them. And I think he did a really good job with it. Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements, Clown Fruit, which is still being produced, the only item here that is being produced.

I put it in the Hall of Fame because it was the first shave soap to glow in the dark. That’s right, it still glows in the dark if you put the actual soap itself. And it’s got a Wormwood, Hungarian Oak, Elderflower, Absinthe, Neroli. kind of essence to it with some burnt sugar and tobacco.

Really cool. It’s the smell like kind of like a carnival. And I guess you could say it’s clown fruit. That’s all you can say.

It’s the scent. Another really cool vendor that did close was Southern Witchcraft with their Autumn Ash soap, which was, again, like burned leaves. Then you had Samhain, which was soap and aftershave, which is kind of like, had like a pumpkin note, bourbon, pumpkin, sandalwood. It was kind of like that to get that fall festival in.

And then Trace Matres, which is also, that was more on a, I guess you could say that was more of like a earthy, but had like some flower essence to it as well. Declaration Grooming, they closed this year, they actually closed in January of this year. Dark Fall Soap, which is again, this is a really, if you like burned soaps, like a lot of burning leaves and smoky, this is one of them for you. They closed down in 2026.

And Black Ship Grooming, I cannot believe I’m saying this. They are closing currently right now. They have been great with the arts. I think they’re very up there with, they were just really innovative.

And it’s sad to see them go, but their crane, they had crane cream and aftershave. This is like a cream and soap. This was to celebrate the night before Halloween and also to, it’s kind of like a dedication to the Headless Horseman. and this had some fragrances of like spicy oranges with hints of chili pepper so not so smoky but it was kind of like to celebrate I guess the all hallows eve And then they had Samhain’s Curse, which was, again, they had that charred, kind of like a pumpkin

with bourbon scent. So a lot of these guys, a lot of the vendors do a Samhain, they do, I guess you could say, a dedication to the festival. And all of them kind of smell very similar with that burned pumpkin and some alcoholic notes to it and some oak. So this is a great addition to that.

All right, guys, so that’s for the Hall of Fame. Wow, that’s a lot. Now we’re going to get on with the actual show. I’m going to go, because of all the stuff that I have, I do have to kind of go a little bit quickly, so I won’t be able to speak about everything in detail.

But I’m sure you guys understand. So without further ado, let’s get on with the 2026 Fall Seasonal Special. all right first up we have the holy black with their release coming out to actually tomorrow the 29th it’s uh ahab’s sea chest which is a halloween set this is one of the biggest sets i’ve seen from them it’s got tons of stuff in it it is um not only that it’s like a i guess you could say it’s to remember the day of the dead it’s not a now they mention it’s not based on a halloween scent but they have the love muerte and the la vida which is both the shaving soap and the

black bottle aftershave and then they have the white bottle stuff. So it’s two soaps, two shaving soaps, two aftershaves, and then they have a ton of other stuff in the box. There are 17 items in the box they have. a the box of course the woven mat they have a mat to do the the ceremony with a photo photographic frame for it they have clay copper coins a shaving brush of course the soap the two aftershaves a resin that’s like i said it’s a lot in there

cone essence incenses They have a box of matches so you can do this in the seven day candle. So this is so you can celebrate the day of the dead and get a good shave too. Very detailed, very interesting to see this set. And wishing them the best of luck for this year.

There’s a lot of notes in there for it. So if you want to read on it, it’s great. But it’s a really cool setup. And they’re, of course, doing a lot on social media.

Saval and Oak, this is a new company for this year that we haven’t mentioned before. Crimson Orchard Soap and Aftershave, this is more based on a citrusy, blood orange, pink grapefruit, apple, lemon, ginger. Basically, it’s based on walking through an orchard in the fall. Also has some cinnamon coffee and some forest wood scents as well.

Harvest Moon made by them is their soap and aftershave, which is more of a warm and rustic scent with a sense of mahogany, pumpkin pie, cinnamon, and nutmeg. So that’s also available in a soap and a splash. Sterling soap now sterling soap has been around for a very long time and they have a very consistent base I guess you could say a fall sense and really what’s great about sterling is they have Their stuff is available all year round so you can get it whenever you want It’s not just for the fall even though it’s fall base You could still get it in the summertime if you want and so you could load up early The first one made by them is hot apple cider soap and aftershave and more.

They do a lot of other items as well. It’s got a very big apple and cinnamon clove scent to it, perfect for that fall day. Autumn glory, which is always a difficult scent to put into words every year. It’s more like taking a walk through a damp woods on a brisk fall morning.

So it’s got that damp oaky oak moss scent. And their pumpkin spice, shave soap, aftershave, everything else they have. It is back. They’re still using that same, their original, from 2014, the original recipe, the original scent.

This is probably one of the best pumpkin spice scents out there. And it’s also, not only is it pumpkin spice, it’s also got like a little bit of maple syrup essence to it. Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements, they’re out, they’re here. And they came out with, again, we talked about their clown fruit, which is available.

They came out with a bunch of stuff this year, including they came out with some razors too. So let’s talk about that. So the Astro Traveller Soap, this is really, this is a burst of bergamot and grapefruit. This brings you in for the fall for the first weeks of fall when it starts getting a little cold.

It also has a little bit of a fiery edge and ending a little bit deeper to the surface they’re saying here. So it’s got orange zest, black pepper, and nutmeg. The Atomic Pumpkin, excuse me, it’s also available in soap and an aftershave. This is kind of not your basic seasonal pumpkin pie essence.

This has got, Atomic Pumpkin’s got like a bay rum pumpkin scent soap and very been popular. If you love bay rum and pumpkin spice, this is the one for you. The blue Samhain soap and aftershave, this is a sandalwood, burnt sugar, bourbon, pumpkin, oak barrel aged, kind of like a oaky essence to it. This is a really good one.

It’s very rich. I’ve used, I have it. I still use it year after year. I love this one.

I think it’s one of the best Samhain soap, I guess you could say Samhain soap scents you can get out there. And then Cider House is just more of a apple cidery, but it’s more of a mulled cider with pipe smoke, oakwood, and dry leaves into this one. And then new, Greenwich Envy, which is a new one. This has fragrance of kind of like sandalwood, cedar, with a little bit of a carnation to it, so it’s got some floral to it.

Kind of like another one of those, I guess you could say one of those cemetery type scents. Monstrasso, which I love the packaging on this one. It looks like it’s an old 1950s sci-fi movie of Monstrasso. I guess it’s a monster, but it looks like Frankenstein.

This has got blood orange, kind of like an autumn glow apricot, and vetiver, kind of like a Haitian vetiver, which is really good, too. So that gives you a nice little modern sense to your monster movies. And another new one, that’s actually, the Monstroso has actually been around a long time, so I apologize if I said it wasn’t. The Shallite Soap, Zone Soap, this is another new one.

This has got a festive, like, fur and spice to it, seasoned with, it’s got top notes of orange peel, bergamot, peppercorn, cardamom powder, and a little bit of amaretto to it. And finally, I thought this was really cool. They came out with monster razors. So the first one here is the El Phantisma.

And the El Phantisma, it has a double open comb slant, but it also glows in the dark. And then the other two razors, they have the Phantom Blue, the La Cruchora, and the Crimson Ghost are all different colors. So the one is La Cruchora is, I believe that one is green, and the Phantom Blue is blue, and then Crimson Ghost is red. Coming back for another year is Ginger’s Garden with their Scully Soap and Aftershave.

This is another one of those wet soil, kind of like walking in the woods type scent. Maple Toddy based upon the famous cocktail. And then of course their take on Pumpkin Spice. One of the first vendors out there still going at it is Mama Bear Soap, one of the first artisans that were available for shave soaps.

And they are coming back with their autumn afternoon, which is kind of like fall leaves. It’s a sentence of falling leaves in clean, fresh air. And then, of course, their fall leaf soap, which is basically the damp, woody, fresh, deep, just like taking a breath of fresh air while sitting on a pile of freshly raked leaves. And of course, their take on pumpkin spice, which is actually another really good one.

This one has not only does it have pumpkins in it, but also has hints of harvest apple and caramel and cream. Another really cool vendor this year was Hoffman’s. Hoffman’s Shave Soap came out with quite a few things this year, and I definitely want to talk about them. They have also, they have really good visual arts.

So the first one is the 19th Hole Soap and Aftershave. This is the Curse of Lincoln Park, which has scents of wood spice, oud, orange, jasmine, patchouli, cedar, and vanilla. And then you have the Joker Spawn Soap and Aftershave, which is a collaboration between Hoffman’s and a legendary comic book creator, Todd McFarlane, which is notes of apple, vanilla, and cinnamon. The Return of Ichabod Crane soap and aftershave inspired by Sleepy Hollow which features Jasmine, Rosewood, White Cedar, Musk and Grapefruit.

Evil Pumpkin 2 coming back. This is an extension of the past favorite with a new version of Pumpkin, Bourbon and Fouzeur. And then Dead Hollow soap and aftershave. You have Dead Hollow is a tale of Halloween’s underworld, the realm between the living and the dead, pecan and pumpkin pie forward.

And then they came out with their Halloween Havoc scent, which is three different soaps, three different scents for 2026. You have the Unholy Gathering, which has scent notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, saffron, anise, dark musk, and tonka bean. You have Dead Man’s Party Soap and Aftershave, which has got like a whiskey, amber, violet, jasmine, lemon pepper, patchouli, and vanilla, cedar, and caramel scents. And then finally, buried by moonlight, soap, and aftershave, you have furneedle, jasmine, lemon, patchouli, lavender, musk, sandalwood, oakmoss, and cedar.

And that actually concludes Hoffman’s, but I thought that was a good one to mention there. They did a lot this year and a really big, huge 2026 late release. Coming up for the fourth year in a row, Humphrey Handmade. Now, this is a soap company only based on Etsy.

So if you’re looking for them, you can only find them on Etsy. But they do a ton. They love Halloween. They advertise it.

And these soaps are also available all year round. So you have, first up, Boomstick, which is a hot apple cider soap. This is based on hot apple cider with a little cinnamon. Killer Clown, which is actually one of the most unique scents out there.

It’s scented like cotton candy. You have Little Soap of Horrors, which is kind of, if you think about it, if you’ve ever seen that movie from the 80s, Little Shop of Horrors. So this is based on, has a little essence of orange, cherry, peach, pineapple, and vanilla. So it’s very similar to Sex on the Beach cocktail.

And their version of Pumpkin Spice, which is pumpkin everything, where they just, they actually get a little bit of a pumpkin pie crust essence to it. Red Rum Soap, which is based off of, as we all know, the movie The Shining. It’s a bay rum scent. And then Spoopy Soap, which is, I guess you could say it’s another unique apple cider blend, but this one has ginger and a little bit of green field notes.

They’re Vampire Soap, which has a blood orange essence and also again a little bit more of a floral note to it. And Werewolf, which has citrus zest, cedar leaf, rich spices, and veveteer as well. Van Ulay, now Van Ulay has been another one you could, again, this is a company that you can buy their soaps all year round. All of their, excuse me, Halloween selections are available at all times.

So the first one they have up is Dead Man’s Party Soap and Aftershave. This is kind of like a moonshine aged cognac essence with a little bit of a fall, I guess you could say a little fall essence to it. So it’s very boozy, smoky, and warm. The 1838 Bay Rum, which is based off a Caribbean Bay Rum, which is, again, very strong in that essence with, but this one has citrus notes to it and a lot of clove and with some cedarwood.

Coffee Pumpkin Latte, which is based off of your Pumpkin Spice Latte. Frosted Pumpkin, which is pumpkin with a little touch of methanol in it, so it gives you a little stronger, little bite to it. Pineupkin, which is made with actual pumpkin puree and has a pineapple essence to it. And then they have pumpkin bread, which is basically the same with nutmeg and spice, similar to their regular pumpkin spice one.

And then salted caramel pumpkin, which has a very, of course, takes your pumpkin essence with cinnamon clove and also has like a little salt essence to it. But it’s kissed with a little bit of sugar. And then it says here, hints of nutmeg and fruit. Spooky Horror Soap and Aftershave.

This is a very different soap. It is kind of like a pumpkin soap, but it’s not. So she wanted to make a pumpkin soap that wasn’t boring, came out with this one, which has a heavy musk dirt, birch char, like a leather essence to it. Sweet Autumn Pie, which is based on a very sugary maple pie with a pumpkin in it.

And then when October goes, this is the last, I guess when you can say based on the last week of October, this is with crisp apples, orange, and also a little bit of wood. And some little dewy earth too. So it’s going to be like a little bit of an essence of when October is over. Moving along to moon soaps.

Back for their, I guess you could say, I think this is their fourth year back with us. They’re again with their release of Warmest Regards soap. This is perfect for the season of good cheer and chilly winds. This is a combination of amber, tonka, oud, rum, and musk.

And then coming back again is Wet the Face, another really good company that makes some good seasonal stuff. They make my favorite Christmas soap, which is called Christmastime. So if you’re really into like the Christmas scents too for the winter when they come out, don’t miss that. Wet the Face I think has one of the better ones out there.

So Sienna Night Soap and Aftershave, which is based on a fall night with hints of sage and woodsy cypress. Then moving along to the next vendor, which is Gentleman’s Nod, which they came out with the Kasasha Catalina Fall Saving Soap this year. So this is just a soap. And this has, really it’s based on a fall morning with dry floral and herbal and woody accents to draw you into the countryside as the evening approaches, greeted by a comforting warmth of creamy woods and golden amber.

And that’s what he did, kind of the turn of the day for a fall day. Next up is Lockhart’s with their fire and brimstone soap. This smells like fire and brimstone. It’s demons cracking a cold one on a bonfire on a fall brisk night.

Macduff Soap is up this day with their Macduff Soap Company, excuse me, again for our second year. Autumn, so their Autumn Cabin Soap, which notes of toasted maple, furly needle, balsam, fir, juniper, cedarwood, it’s got everything going on there. This is the harmony of autumn all in one, just to give you a sense of like when you’re sitting on a fall day in a cabin in the woods to mention, to kind of like give you that sense of that for that day. I think it’s really nice.

Very cool picture, too, on the art for the shave soap. Harvest Sky Soap, which is an autumn-themed release. We’re featuring red, rich apple, green apple, fig, cinnamon, cloves, ginger. So this is kind of to make it with a, give you that harvest of like being in an apple orchard.

and Hallowed Sky which is an additional fall release. This one did not have any scent notes on it, but it is definitely based off Halloween from what they said, but there were no scent notes on it. So if you get it, let me know, see if you like it, because I couldn’t find anything else on the release on the website. Next stop, vendor is Oversoid Soap Company with their Autumn Spice Shave Soap, which is with basically like a kind of like a spicy, I guess you could say, take on the autumn harvest with cedarwood, fur needles, with cinnamon, coriander, and jasmine.

Next up is the Beard Knife Soap Company, the actual soap company engineered for straight razors and their autumn Equinox soap based off of the autumn season. Yodeling Goat Soap. This is a soap company that’s based off Etsy that also does, all their stuff is made with goat milk or goat fat. They’re Autumn Demure Shave Soaps.

So this has got a warm, exotic, spicy sense to it, including sandalwood, cedar, coconut, honey, citrus, patchatooie, and cinnamon. And then you have Apex, the Alchemy shaving soap, which is with their Autumn Breeze shaving soap this year. The leaves are falling, the air is crisp, flannels the pattern of choice, summer comes in. Welcome with the seasons of all of this natural soap.

All right, next up is the Wet Shaving Store with their Reaper in the Barbershop soap with the scent profile of cardamom, black pepper, then you have amber, vanilla, patchouli, and then we have another one which is guaiac, I believe it’s called, wood and tonka bean. So this is really another really good and I’d say another big one from the Wet Shaving Store. They always do something awesome every year. In addition to that, coming back for another year is Devil’s Den, the Shave Dad Premium Soap.

This is a collaboration with a local artisan, not artisan, influencer. And again, for the second year, it’s coming back. And Haggs, or Mr. Rick Shaving, with another Rickertreat Soap. This is number two.

Rickertreat is a dark, seductive, Gourmand build of the contrast between juicy fruit, velvety warmth, and addictive vanilla. This is what you get with this one. You get kind of like a warm woodsy, again, like cashmere type scent with sugary vanilla on the bottom, on the mid notes. Creamy vanilla, soft what musk, woody amber.

And then patchouli adding to the depth of this one. So this is a really big, a lot of scents on this one. A lot of stuff going on, but it looks really cool. Also great visual art on the shave soap too.

Adopted Acres Soap Company, first time for them on the show this year, with Halloween 86 soap and aftershave. So it’s dark, the neighborhood is alive, porch lights glow, and up and down the street jack-o’-lanterns are all over there. You might be wearing your costume, and one of those costumes we all remember, the ones you couldn’t breathe in. And taking a look at this is basically based off a Halloween of 1986.

Now, I’m an 80s kid, so I put in the whole story that he put here, so I thought it was really cool. But the scent profile on this, burnt pumpkin, fall grass, there’s some makeup in there, hairspray, night air, and gasoline. So this is based off You walking around trick-or-treating in the 1980s and cars are driving around you and everything. So this is something different.

Take a look at the story around this one. There’s a lot to it. And if you’re an 80s kid like me, this might relate to you a little bit. Happy chap shaving with their ghost story soap and aftershave.

Experience the fear. And with this soap, Spine-Chilling Ghost Stories, with this one, it opens up with Ripe Plum and Saturn Peach, giving off a muted fruitness with Black Violet, Italian Leather, Patchouli, Vanilla, and Dusky Must. The Shave Merchantile, with their Again, for this next year, second year in a row, Pretty Polly Shave Soap. This one’s awesome.

It’s got more of those earthy, haunting, kind of like dark scents with a great story around it. Again, this is their second or third year with this one. For the first year, we have Allen Soap Company, which has their, featuring their Headless Horseman Shave Soap, which has got a sense of citrus, cedar, spices, and musk to give you the aroma of Ichabod Crane. And Death Grip coming out with their Burn the Ship Skull lather bowl and shave cream set.

So this comes with a really cool lather bowl made out of a skull. And it’s all handmade ceramic so it holds heat well. It looks really cool. I thought it was probably one of the most original sets out there.

And the scent and what you’re looking at, you get to shave cream and it gets more of, excuse me, a scent of Himalayan cedar, vetiver, grapefruit, frankincense, myrrh, lavender, cassia and clove. So this is all just based on the fall season. Strike Gold Shave came out with the Resurrection Mary Shave Set. This is a massive set that comes in with a lot of stuff.

This is to, I guess, resurrect Mary and it’s a huge shave set that’s got like a case file. It’s not only got, it’s got shave soap, it’s got the aftershave, it’s also got a bunch of papers in there and stuff so you can actually kind of like, it’s more of a It’s kind of solved the it’s like a like a mystery solving type box I thought this is probably one of the most original ones we’ve seen this year next to probably the holy black With like an actual kit around it So not only do you have a kit to where you can you get your shaving stuff? But this also gives you like a little bit of an adventure as well The top notes on this is bergamot geranium and then the base vote is vet vetiver and sandalwood and All right, guys, and that actually concludes the show.

Believe it or not, that’s it. I am happy to have been able to be brought to you this year for the 11th season in a row to do this. I really do enjoy this show. I know it’s a little bit longer than usual.

A couple things, I did work on the pronunciations this year, guys, so I did put a lot of time into that. So I wanted to make sure I said everything right. I know that kind of, you know, I get called out on that a few times. And you’re right, I should definitely put the time into that.

But this is a great show this year. I really enjoy doing it as usual. It’s a lot of fun and I think I can’t wait to keep doing this for years to come. If I missed anything or if you guys feel that there’s more stuff that you’d like to discuss for wet shaving in terms of fall, let me know.

I’m always open to it. And the next show I’m going to do the best of the best. So I’m going to go by what I feel are the best choices, so it’s going to be the best scent, the best packaging, the best overall, the best return, the best newcomer and all that. I was thinking about doing that, but just for time for this month, this year, I didn’t have enough time because we’re going over close to that 40-minute mark.

I really hope you guys enjoyed it. Again, our show is powered by sharpologist.com, what your father didn’t teach you about shaving.
