I recently got a bottle of the new Calming Serum from Leaf Shave. Here are my thoughts.

My Experience With The Leaf Calming Serum

Presentation
Leaf Calming Serum comes in a small but attractive and heavy bottle, with a dosage dropper built into the cap.
Scent
From the Leaf website: “One of the star ingredients in Calming Serum is Tea Tree essential oil which does carry a dominant scent into the product. You’ll also experience notes of citrus. The scent holds briefly before dissipating rapidly after use.”
For myself, I get a moderately strong Tea Tree scent; I don’t really get the citrus notes (“your mileage may vary”). However it does dissipate very quickly after application.
Performance
In the course of my wet shaving “job” I try a lot of products, particularly razors. And while my technique is good there are times that a razor will “bite back” and give me some good old fashioned irritation or razor burn.
Leaf Serum has been amazing at reducing pain and redness from shaving irritation for me. A couple drops of serum onto my fingertips and a quick massage into the skin is all I need to get the job done. It does make a difference to me.
The only “downside” to serum is that it doe not protect the skin from the elements as well as a good aftershave balm. But if you’re not going to be out in the elements, or apply a balm or protectant after the serum, you should be good to go.
What Is A Skin Serum?
A serum is a type of skincare product that is typically used after cleansing and toning, but before moisturizing. Serums are designed to deliver a high concentration of active ingredients to the skin, and they are typically lighter and more easily absorbed than other skincare products, such as moisturizers.
Because of their concentrated formulas, serums are often used to target specific skincare concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and dryness. Serums can contain a variety of different active ingredients, depending on the intended purpose of the product.
There are many different types of skin serums available, and they can be tailored to target a wide range of skincare concerns.

Summing Up
I find the Leaf Shave Calming Serum a highly effective and soothing product that delivers on its promises. Its natural ingredients and gentle formula make it suitable for all skin types, even those with sensitive or acne-prone skin. The serum’s ability to reduce redness and inflammation while providing hydration and nourishment is truly remarkable.
Additionally, the luxurious feel and subtle scent of the serum add to the overall experience of using this product. If you’re looking for a calming serum that will leave your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, I highly recommend giving Leaf Shave Calming Serum a try.
