Beard Lube? What is this crazy stuff?!? An award winning men’s care product from Jack Black. It’s a natural, vegan product that has natural ingredients, and can be used to shave with or used as a pre-shave oil. It’s natural ingredients include Macadamia Nut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Peppermint, Menthol and Heather.
It’s a unique 3-in-1 product, combining a moisturizer, shave cream and pre-shave oil to help condition your face and make shaving a quick and easy process. It’s smell is a mix of peppermint and menthol, which is quite pleasing. It’s great if you’re in a particular hurry, but my favorite use of it is to rub some on my beard and work it in, then apply some Proraso for a wonderful shave. And I’ve even shaved with just the beard lube, and it’s clear formula allows you to see where you’re shaving. It remarkably reduces irritation and razor burn, and won’t clog your razor, safety or otherwise.

My mother-in-law got me a tube of this last Christmas because she had heard I liked the Jack Black Supreme Cream. It is very moisturizing and slick. I like to use it for my against the grain pass, if I do one. I’ll lather and shave with my cream of choice for WTG and XTG then rinse and use JB Beard Lube for my ATG. A great product, but expensive in my opinion.
I do agree with you about the price. It’s pricey, and even more so if you get a luxury size. I still however think it’s worth every penny.
Are Jack Black products available at local brick/mortar retail or drug stores? I haven’t seen the brand before, but I’m figuring there is an online vendor somewhere, right?
I have seen them in some of the higher-end department stores and salons.
Places such as Sephora and Ulta carry Jack Black. I know this because my wife has drug me kicking and screaming into both stores. But, you can also find them on the URL I listed and Amazon, of course. Amazon has almost everything.
Just saw these products at the local Ulta I was dragged to as well. (kicking and screaming of course). I thought it was odd that they have a decent selection of high end shave creams, soaps, etc., but nothing at all for DE shavers.
Brian, I’m not affiliated with this vendor, but I’ve personally purchased from them multiple times. They offer free shipping on all orders. http://www.mensdirect.com/product/Jack-Black-Beard-Lube-Conditioning-Shave/Jack-Black
I wonder how to compares to Alba.
I just bought some tonight. I have used before but then eventually went crazy and started using all kinds of brushes and creams and oils etc. Beard Lube was my gateway shaving drug
. I wanted to get some to use it again and compare results and skin condition compared to the traditional lathering up etc. I love shaving but I have to admit sometimes I just don’t feel like whipping up a good lather and going through the whole process. Just want to see how Beard Lube might stack up.
I’ve been using it as a pre shave oil for 2 months now. Only because I found it weird that it produced no lather and it had all the good skin ingredients. Alone, it helped clear up my bumps. So i love it.
