“Well this post comes with a heavy heart. Soapy Bathman is shutting down. As some of you know i have started a new venture called The Bearded Vegan since i have become bearded and vegan lol. I am selling what is left of my inventory and have put it all on this page. Thank you for all your years of support and this isn’t goodbye it’s see you later.”
The Canadian based Artisan is moving on to a new business and shutting down his current wet shaving company.
Single Edge Razors Part One
As promised, I will be dedicating a decent portion to single edge razors. For part one let’s talk about different types and how to get started!
What I recommend:
Get a decent (shovel head) style SE (Gem or Ever ready) There are some modern examples as well from Above the Tie and PAA
Pack of GEM SE Blades or equivalent.
A brush and soap you’re comfortable with
Listen and I’ll tell you my thoughts on GEM Style SE razors (including head shaving).

Properly Cleaning/Sanitizing
- Barbercide does wonders.
- Boil metal razors, parts
- Clean shaving knots
- Rubbing alcohol works great.
