Locking the Wrist

Listen to this article
I have a question. In earlier videos you mentioned that during beard reduction passes you should lock your wrist to maintain a consistent blade angle. Yet all the advanced techniques seem to have a little wrist action. Is this wrist movement safe?

An excllent question.  During beard reduction you’re looking to maintain a consistant angle on the razor to maximize the area its going over.  During the ending “touch & cut” phase, where you’re looking to get those little bits of stubble taken care of, it may be appropriate to flex the wrist slightly to catch a difficult-to-reach area.
