That’s exactly why I’m a wet-shaver today. Because when I was four my uncle would give me one of his DE razors sans blade and we’d lather up together. Now I’m in my 60’s.
My brother and his son have a shave/bonding moment like this every morning too. My nephew uses his Lil Man shaving set after dad lathers his face. 🙂
Hombre_Sin_Nombre, enjoy both the bonding time and the teaching time with your son. He looks pleased with his shave!
Thanks! We both enjoy it… 🙂
Is that stroppe shop? What flavor?
Sorry for the delayed reply…if you are referring to the aftershave, it is Dirty Deeds Vanilla Sandalwood. I love it! 🙂
My youngest nephew does that with his son. They sent me a photo of it. I was really touched. I had spent time on Christmas 2 years ago with my nephew at his mother’s in Arizona, teaching him the finer points of shaving properly with a brush and a DE razor. I’d written about it on Sharpologist.
I do the same thing with my two year old. He has his own razor, brush, foam soap in the can, (it’s liked canned goo so I put it in his bowle and don’t let him see it lol) and other stuff like daddy. He loves it and I love it. It’s so cool.
He’s only like 5 years old, and he can already get a better BBS than any of us. lol!
