DollarShaveClub.com launches an aftershave product today, Dr. Carver’s Magnanimous Post Shave, and I got a pre-launch sample to try.
I’ve been using the Dr. Carver’s post shave for a little while now and I am actually quite pleased with it. It goes on easily, is not too greasy-feeling, soaks in quickly, and provides very nice skin-calming performance. There is no cooling sensation (menthol), nor is there a scent that I can detect. Some of the notable ingredients include:
- Golden Barley – moisturizes, soothes and reduces the appearance of redness and razor bumps
- Prickly Pear Cactus – moisturizer
- Sodium Hyaluronate – moisturizer
- Glycolic Acid – helps promote healthy skin
- Aloe Leaf Juice – skin soother
- Oat Extract – prevents and alleviates inflammation & irritation
- Vitamins A, C, and E – anti-oxidant protection
Some of the long chemical names in the full ingredient list (below) gave me a bit of a pause but after looking them up in Wikipedia I didn’t see anything that would give me much concern.
Dollar Shave Club’s Dr. Carver’s Magnanimous Post Shave seems to be a product that works well for me. See THIS LINK for more information.
