I’ve been wanting to do an update on my “Method” shaving videos forever, but circumstances have prevented me from visiting Enchante, so I could get it right from the source, for some time now. Its crazy: I only live a couple hours away from Austin. Anyway, it looks like Charles has taken it upon himself to do a video about it. I think its very well done:
You’ve simply got to try the mixture! Too smooth to be an accident and BBS almost always too.
Would be nice to see him finish the process vis a vis adding the “mix” to the shave paste and applying it to the face.
I’m inclined to agree with Scott. As he says, 3-4 additional products to achieve the same result as a more traditional brush/soap combination.
It also looks to be more hassle than traditional methods to create the “mix”. I love that he has to call it mix and not foam.
I admit I haven’t tried the method, but then this video has done nothing to convince me to experiment with it.
No, no, you just don’t understand. See, it’s not “lather.” It’s a “dynamic mix.” Dynamic!
I have to agree.. wonder how much that handful of “mix” costs, compared to a good shaving cream.
I’ve never tried any of these “Method” products, but I have to be honest: it looks to me like a bunch of nonsense designed to get me to buy 3-4 products instead of just the one (good shaving cream). The world of personal hygiene and health products is rife with scams and unregulated claims. This lather is “dynamic” and whatever else–the whole thing smacks of marketing devoid of any real world benefit.
