Art of Shaving Changing Their Shaving Soap Formula?

The shaving forums (here for example) are all abuzz that The Art of Shaving’s excellent shaving soap is apparently in the process of changing from a tallow-based formula to one based on palm oil.  I’m frankly surprised its taken this long for Proctor and Gamble’s accountants to make themselves known, but there you have it.  I’ll have to try the new formula soon and report back.  Trumper’s tried doing something similar with their Eucris shave soap and while the results are acceptable it is not nearly as luxurious as their tallow soaps.  Stay tuned…. New: Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Pottasium Hidroxide, Glycerin,Coconut Acid, Lavandula Angustifolia (lavender oil), Triethalonamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Palmitic Acid, Methylparaben, Lauric Acid, Prophylparaben, Diethalomamine. Old: Water, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide,…
