The Braveheart is the Executive Shaving Company’s Safety Razor. They call it “a double edge safety razor that gets the job done with the minimum of fuss. Expect a slightly more aggressive shave than you get from a Muhle R89, Jagger 89 and Merkur closed comb safety razors.”

Ever since I started making shaving videos, people have asked me what my favorite shaving products are. I’ve always resisted answering because I didn’t want to make it sound like I was making a blanket recommendation. Steampunk is a special edition shaving cream that was created for The Shave Nook shaving forum by Tabula Rasa in Germany. If you’re not familiar with the steampunk genre, think of it as a “retro-futuristic” science fiction or fantasy alternate reality based in the Victorian era (though sometimes it takes place in the American West) where steam-power is still in use. HERE is the Wikipedia entry if you want to delve deeper.

I have to admit – Beardbrand is one of the more clever “generic” names I’ve run across for a shaving-related company. Well, maybe not so much shaving related, as they’re focused on taking care of what your razor isn’t removing. Perhaps that’s splitting hairs, so we’ll just move along with the review.
